THE STORY BEHIND THE SLEEPY BEE

Pyrography started as a hobby and grew into The Sleepy Bee. Alongside creating my hand-burned wooden gifts, I’m also a beekeeper with six hives at the bottom of my garden.

Beekeeping is a big part of The Sleepy Bee. I love talking to people about my bees and sharing a little of what goes on behind the scenes.

One of my favourite connections between the two sides of The Sleepy Bee is that I use beeswax from my own hives on my pyrography products. It gives my handmade pieces an extra special connection to the bees behind the name.
