At thesleepybee, my pyrography boards, door stops, house names & numbers, indoor & outdoor plaques, and tealight holders are all hand burnt. These are bespoke items and even if I burn two, they will never be the same. The final product depends on the wood that is used this can change the way the picture looks because of the grain, and colour. Pine, willow wood, plywood, spruce, yew are soft woods and will burn deeper, darker, and quicker, so unable to provide as much detail. Hard woods like oak, walnut, cherry, birch, aspen and maple take more time to burn and much more detail can be produced but also reflect in the price these woods. 

I prefer to concentrate on quality over quantity, take my time and have satisfied customers.   

The picture you see is the first mock up of my logo until I was happy with the end result I have now.

I source wood locally, whether this be bought from a wood yard, fallen trees, or recycled wood from furniture. I like to give precisely what my customers wants.
